Many are talking about Corporate Responsibility (CR) – but what does it look like in practice? Munich Re was able to convince students to join them in a hands-on experience. The reinsurer invited them to a corporate volunteering event in the Bavarian provincial capital.
At the two-day event, participants learned a lot about Munich Re’s CR activities as well as the entry possibilities and career opportunities at one of the world’s leading reinsurance companies. The event included ice-breakers, a Q&A session, dinner and wine tasting – but its main part, as an act of corporate responsibility and support, was a cleaning and renovation day at the therapeutic Munich-based “Münchener-Kindl-Heim” for youths and children. The home accompanies unaccompanied minor refugees and other children in need.
