As (Senior) Customer Service Representative (m/f) you will support the business unit PM Pigments & Functional Materials (PM-P) for the Western European region. Your main tasks will include managing customer accounts and interact with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests about products and services; Maintain an excellent customer relationship; Take product orders, checks inventory availability or status of shipment; Verify customer pricing, prepare and process customer return goods for credit and/or replacement; Interact with and support sales representatives; Handle and resolve customer complaints; Escalate requests and unresolved issues to the designated resource; Continuously identify improvement potentials in our processes and help to implement these.

With this new role, you will be part of a newly established Customer Service Team with work location based in our company headquarters in the city of Darmstadt, Hesse, Germany.

Who you are:

  • You have a completed educational background in Business/Commerce/Trade
  • You gained already some relevant Customer Service/Order Handling working experience in a similar international environment; previous experience in Order Management within Life Sciences/Pharmaceuticals/Chemical industry is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, combined with a very pro-active customer service oriented attitude
  • Problem solving is in your nature, together with a positive outlook on dealing with customers
  • You possess at least one of the below language capabilities, including fluent (written and verbal) English:
    • Native Dutch speaker and fluent Italian and/or Spanish and/or French (German is a plus)
    • Native Spanish speaker and fluent Italian and/or Dutch and/or French (German is a plus)
    • Native French speaker and fluent Italian and/or Spanish and/or Dutch (German is a plus)
    • Native German speaker and fluent Italian and/or Spanish and/or French and/or Dutch
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP system a plus
  • Enjoy working in an international team
  • Flexible – know how to organize/prioritize your work; open to change and able to adjust accordingly
