Chemical Scientist (m/f) Advanced Cell Culture Technologies Merck KGaA

Your role:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and innovative chemical scientist (m/f) to join our advanced cell culture technology team. The successful candidate will develop new chemical strategies to improve raw materials solubility or stability in complex chemically defined media. In addition, he/she will develop, perform and analyze experiments aiming at characterizing cell culture media powder. He/she will also manage technology transfer projects, including communication with the customer and will thus work internally in close collaboration with other functions (production, operational marketing, quality control). Finally, he/she will represent our advanced cell culture technology team in cross-functional teams.

 Who you are:

  • Min. Master of Science in Chemistry. PhD in chemistry and experience in the industry would be an advantage.
  • Experience in managing highly complex projects in matrix environments.
  • Strong skills in critical thinking, laboratory experimentation and data analysis. Ability to multitask and maintain organized data systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work in team environment
  • Fluency in English (oral & written). German would be an additional asset
