Our Asset Information System department within E.ON Climate & Renewables (EC&R) in Essen is looking for a/an

Developer for Data Warehouse / ETL (m/f)

Responsibilities

  • Design, code, test, debug, document and support all types of MS SQL based solutions to support EC&R Asset Management Data Warehouse
  • Identify and design most efficient and cost effective solution through research and evaluation of alternatives
  • Develop ETL / BI processes based on Microsoft SQL technology (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS)
  • Understand, analyze and implement requirements related to renewables business
  • Increase data quality by performing root cause analysis and implementation of sustainable solutions together with other departments
  • Implementation of standardization and harmonization of data from various data sources
  • Perform complex data analysis, design, development and unit testing of existing reporting applications from user requirements and design documents
  • Provide data extracts and reports based on MS SQL technology stack
  • Visualization of KPIs / data using Tableau and Excel
  • Understand Up-To-Date technology stacks ( Cloud, Big Data)

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent education in Information Technology or equivalent
  • Entrants with work experience are welcome
  • Proven experience with SQL coding and database design on MS SQL
  • Experience with ETL / Data Warehouse based on MS SQL (SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS)
  • Experience working with time series data and databases like OSIsoft PI
  • Experience working with Tableau
  • Software engineering skills are welcome
  • Strong ability to analyze requirements from the business and translate them to technical concepts
  • Ability to manage implementation of solutions
  • Strong ability to solve issues and to understand complex business processes and system
  • Appreciation of general technical concepts (e.g. databases, security, backup)
  • Ability to drive data standardization and harmonization of any kind of data
  • The ability and willingness to learn new technologies quickly
  • Fluent in English, additional language skills beneficial
