The Global Category of IT Software Infrastructure covers the full range of system infrastructure and operations software from operating systems, virtualization, systems management up to middleware, database, office IT and security as well as the full mainframe platform stack and “software as a service” (SaaS) solutions and software-related standard maintenance services.
Being part of the IT Software Infrastructure team your tasks are as follows:

  • Negotiation with suppliers and closing of high value frame contracts
  • Implementation of a defined sourcing strategy for assigned category
  • Leading and managing of strategic procurement projects
  • Manage sourcing activities for tenders and projects (prepare and develop RFx)
  • Assessment of the supply market and company’s current spending
  • Total cost analyses and calculation of business cases
  • Identify and implement savings opportunities
  • Building of strong relationships with business stakeholders  in order to ensure requirements and considerations are being incorporated into sourcing strategy
  • Establish and maintain supplier relationships
  • working in cross functional and multinational teams


You hold a University degree or an MBA in the area of Business Administration, Economics, Business Information Technology, mathematical/natural sciences or a qualification of the same level.
You also possess the following knowledge and experience:

  • Detailed Knowledge of procurement organizations and processes  (>5 years experience)
  • Experience in coordination of large projects in big international organisations
  • A very good understanding of the Group structures as well as the Procurement organizations of both companies
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of entire supply chain, category management, strategic sourcing, negotiations and contracting concepts.
  • Knowledge of the relevant procurement systems
  • Experience in globally active companies with decentral organizational structures
  • Profound knowledge of the Software industry
  • Profound knowledge of Contract law
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Profound experience in Project and stakeholder Management
  • Successful experiences in negotiating with Senior Management of suppliers is required
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decision makers through creative value propositions and effective communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
  • Well-practiced in the use of standard software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer).
  • English (fluent in spoken and written),
  • Good knowledge of French would be an asset
  • You are characterized by your ability to think and act independently, as well as your ability to work well within a team. You have outstanding motivation and communicative abilities which help you to actively bring customer centricity and customer satisfaction to life.
  • Your analytical skills make you a true talent in planning and organization.
