Business Development Consultant | Project Office B2C Finance

The focus on innovation and growth lead to multiple projects with significant size that will affect the organization’s growth and product portfolio throughout the years to come. The outlined growth path of the company relies to a large extent on the successful delivery of large scale projects that affect the whole business unit B2C Finance in our core markets (Scandinavia, DACH and NL). To support, manage and lead this initiative, we implemented a Project Office in January 2016 and are now looking for highly talented and pro-active persons that shape the change of our business going forward.

Timeframe and location
The role is an internship assignment for a duration of at least 6 months. The position is based in Stockholm. Some travel might occur. The start date is variable.

Main objectives:
The objective of the project in scope is to disrupt and change the way payment methods are used in the event/festival space and similar environments. After three successful pilots with thousands of users we now roll-out the product over multiple Nordic markets. In the next phase we are targeting the German-speaking markets as well as the Netherlands. There is significant opportunity to shape the product and impact the go-2-market approach as the markets in scope differentiate itself substantially from each other. The project is fast moving and relies heavily on business development, pre-sales, customer experience and finance skills. Moreover, depending on the profile of the candidate, he/she can be placed on another highly challenging project in the current portfolio.

Responsibilities and work tasks:
The employee will support the project lead within the following areas:

  • Support group-wide coordination efforts in go-2-market approach
  • Developing extensive knowledge on potential markets and analyzing different go-2-market strategies
  • Take active role in support of international tender processes as well as country specific initiatives
  • Drive analysis for organizational requirements and map organizational growth plan in order to achieve quick and significant market penetration
  • Assemble extensive knowledge on customer experience and behavior to help shape the vision of the future product
  • Define IT-related requirements for future product enhancements
  • Actively drive project success and skillfully handle all internal and external stakeholders
  • Documentation of progress, preparation of presentations and workshops

Reporting structure:
The employee reports to the Head of Projects B2C Finance

Competence profile:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Finance, Mathematics or other relevant subjects
  • Experience in Sales, Consulting or Business Development. Experience from a start-up company or UX-design are highly valued
  • Background in market analytics, corporate finance, business development and research are beneficial
  • Willingness to add knowledge of payment industry and curiosity for innovations and customer behavior
  • Very good oral and written skills in English
  • Good communication skills and high social competence
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • High ambition and drive to be successful
  • Structured and goal-oriented personality
  • Hands-on, can do attitude
